August 2008

Dear Parents:

Keeping you informed is a top priority of the Bradley School District.  That's why we have adopted the AlertNow Notification Service which will allow us to send a telephone message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies.  In the event of an emergency at school, you can have peace of mind knowing that you will be informed immediately by phone. You may also be notified of upcoming events through this automated process.

AlertNow is a rapid communication system the Bradley School District will be using this year to notify parents in the event of an emergency, school closings, or general events going on at school.  This system will allow the school to make 3000 automated phone calls in 1 minute. AlertNow Communication phone system will allow us to send you a message providing important information about the Bradley Elementary Schools.

If an emergency does happen in our district, we will notify you by calling the primary phone number and all emergency phone numbers on your child's account.

In the event of a non-emergency, such as school closing due to weather or building issues, primary phone numbers only will be called. Also, information will be shared with WKAN-AM, WYKT-FM, and WONU-FM on school closings and early dismissals.

At various times throughout the year, school officials may call to remind you of school events, field trips, conferences, open houses, and activities that are happening in the district. We will be using the non-emergency primary phone numbers to notify you of these events.

If you have any questions regarding this system, please contact 815-929-5423 ext. 298 - this is the AlertNow Hotline.

Thank you for your continued support of Bradley Schools.

Scott Goselin, Ed.D.
